Winter is upon us, well, insofar as we have winter in Queensland, so the days are cooler but there is less rain and the skies are often clear and sunny. We have a new doggie, Shayla, and another horse, ET, which can trace his lineage back to the famous Charge at Beersheba. So that makes him a descendant of the Australian Light Horse Regiment, and a 'Whaler' or Heritage breed. Both our new family members are about 18 mths old, and a real joy to be around. The little 75% scale Fokker triplane made its public debut at the 2010 Emu Gully Air & Land Spectacular in May. I designed and fitted a smoke system to it, and our little Red Baron display went over very well. It was featured on the front cover of the local paper, and ABC Radio did a live interview with 'the Red Baron' as well. You can get a rough idea via some footage taken during a practise run.
While Chris has been working on Charlie the horse, I have completed Little Tony, the scale Fokker dr.1 triplane, with test flying underway. We hope that it will make its debut at the 'Air&Land Spectacular' in May. Below is a link to a short video history including the First Flight.
