Marty picked up his daughter Jess from Mason Field at Southport after she spent the weekend with friends on the Gold Coast. They dropped into Rays Field on the Darling Downs for coffee - a right neighbourly thing to do....

A distinguished visitor dropped in on October 16 - the 100th Gippland Aeronautics GA-8 Airvan - which was on a barn-storming tour of the Eastern States since being handed over to the Missionary Aviation Fellowship at an official ceremony at the factory by the Federal Minister Warren Truss (love that name) . En-route to Papua-New Guinea, the tour provides supporters of MAF the chance to see first hand its latest acquisition.

Since the last lot of house pics we have been busy with paving, fencing and getting some grass down for the doggies. They absolutely loved rolling around on the new turf - must have been like Christmas for them after the dust bowl/ gooey-mud bowl that they had become used to .

Martin's daughter Jess came up from Melbourne for a week, and while she visited friends on the Gold Coast over the weekend, we flew up to Noosa for a day to visit long-time friends, Mike & Sylvia. We flew coastal on the way up - direct on the way back. A great day.

October 1 was the date for our first official event at the Airpark - 'Brekkie at the 'Park' saw 47 aircraft from all over South East Qld (and Mackay) and around 180 interested people enjoy breakfast and a look around our facility. A very successful and enjoyable day.
