Last weekend we participated in a Poker Run, which took in a number of local airfields, including our own. It was a great day out and gave us an opportunity to land at some new fields. Chris has had 3 weeks off before starting her new job at the Uni - 3 different employers and all at the same place ! That time off gave us the opportunity to zip down in the RV6 to Tyabb in Victoria to visit my mother, which proved rather fortuitous as she has since passed away at 86.
Things have been fairly quiet around home, as a few of my part-time jobs have dried up, although I delivered a friend's S6 ultralight to its new owner at Emerald in central Qld, and have been setting up the assembly and pre-delivery area in my hangar for the Australian arm of Piper Sport. The company demonstrator arrived last week in a 40' container, so now am learning the ropes on putting it together for a series of sales tours and demo flights. It is a lovely, well appointed machine and a great example of the new breed of Light Sport Aircraft.
Also, we have been planning the layout of a small property where we intend to place the horses, and eventually move to, but still with access to the Airpark. See pics.
