HAPPINESS IS A WARM HANGAR.......and filled with interesting things, of course.

This pic makes our hangar look pretty big, but it will take up to 4 small aircraft, so plenty big enough for our purposes. We 2-pack epoxied the floor in light grey, which makes it much easier to sweep, plus gives a nice finished look to the interior. The high wing aircraft pictured took out the award for best ultralight at the big RAA event this year.

Well, here we are in the beautiful Lockyer Valley...in fact been here for 2 months. As you can imagine, time has been going very fast, with much to do.

Our house is gorgeous. We just can't believe how lucky we have been with our builders, when our friends from the Southern states have had nothing but dramas. Our project was delivered on time, so smiling faces all around. We would even recommend the builders to anyone else building here in SE QLD (now that must be a first!)

Marty has been busy learning to drive bobcats, and an antiquated roller which puffs smoke like a dragon and, I'm sure has contributed to his continuing problems with his back, after 'putting it out' trying to dig holes for me with a mattock so I could fulfil our Queensland dream of PALMS in our garden. Suffice to say, we now have four lovely examples proudly swaying in the breeze in the front garden. Nothing much else in the front garden though at this stage. All in good time.

The doggies are settling in now and after an initial drama with Belle that had me in histerics, her in hospital, lost and then found and finally left quite deaf....I think she actually likes being deaf, doesn't have to listen to the whinning from Mr Pickle, who, is now a country dog, living out doors. Two weeks of whinging and more whinning and he settled into his new life.

Attached pic., is of my new pride and joy. A beautiful Triumph Thruxton (yes Phil, you just have to go to the Motorcycle shop and hand over a wad of cash). Suzi, the Suzuki is still in Melbourne at Mick's shop, hopefully, a new buyer will emerge in Spring, when I am told it sometimes gets warm in Victoria......it's all such a blur now LOL :-)

We are about to get some fencing underway, to create a lock up for the doggies and some turf to make them comfortable and CLEAN for a change. Life in mud is not for me!

Can't wait for the Spring when the rains will come (hopefully) and the seeds can be sewn for our lawns. When it rains, and it has, the place turns into a quagmire, sticky as hell and you grown 6" in height from the mud sticking to your shoes, feet or paws. Good thing is, it dries pretty quickly, so after a couple of days it's back to normal again.

Have been to a couple of flyin's, one at Jacobs Well near Stradbroke Island and the other at friends property in Clifton where my old passion for cooking was rekindled after a couple of delicious pumpkin scones......

So much more has happened, but for fear of rambling on and on, that will do for now.
