It is almost Spring - if not officially, then certainly it is weather-wise, with last Sunday being over 30C - and Chris and I spent a great weekend on the coast. We flew with friends Col and Sandra over to Stradbroke Island for the flying club's monthly breakfast, then onto Moreton Island we we stayed overnight at the Tangalooma Resort. Other friends Bruce and Ronnie came over on the ferry with their 4X4 and we were able to travel extensively along the beach and out to the northern tip to visit the lighthouse, which had been manned by the grandfather of Col. The weather was great, the whale watching and dolphin feeding amazing and although it felt like a tropical paradise with few people, it was only a few miles off the coast, almost in site of Brisbane.
