Time seems to be flying - it is now November. Last month Chris and I flew Harvey down to the Sport Aircraft Assoc National event at Cowra, which meant we caught up with a lot of friends from interstate. Chris has been re-planting the vege patch, and within 2 weeks we have food from it. The weather has been warm to very warm, we have had over 100 mm of rain in the last week and the whole valley is beautifully green.
We have bought a used ride-on mower, a Cox, that we call the Red Pippin, after some beautiful Cox Orange Pippin apples we found in NZ, so Chris has taken over the lawn mowing duties, and I have had the opportunity to fly a friend's 1945 Auster that was originally owned by Dr. Peter Crooke in Melbourne, at whose property we re-built our first aircraft, a well worn Hughes Lightwing, back in 1990.
